Ebon Pinion is a story of adventure finely laced with thrilling fantasy, written by T.G. Judge. Set in medieval times, it is a story of friendship, skirmish among siblings, and finding an identity in a place where one doesn't fit. While there are humans in the story, this story covers a range of beings like elves, orcs, wolves, elavis, and eluds. Azrael is an elavis who is not like his kind. In his quest to discover himself, he meets Eden, an elf, and they form quite an amusing friendship. On the other hand, is Sael, who is in constant conflict with her sister, Muriel. As these three friends and Sael’s bodyguards travel through different lands, they encounter new creatures and weird visions.
What could the vision from the old raven mean? Does Azrael find the answers from Grenfret? What fate follows their attack by the helwolfs? Do Sael and Muriel resolve their dispute before Muriel’s death? This book of adventure you must try not to miss.
The author, T. G. Judge, has regulated a mind-blowing world-building. His crisp writing and elaborate descriptions captured me at the onset of my reading. The action scenes, killings, the combat are flawlessly realistic. The attack by the helwolfs lived and played in my mind. It was sweet horror. T. G. Judge took charge of the locations and delivered a story that fit its settings. There's warmth and deep emotion.
For characterization, there was a lot, but each character complemented the individual or scene at that instant. It was obvious that many of the characters introduced were not applicable, so they were not referred to after that scene had ended. There were a few errors in the book. Nevertheless, I decided to overlook them because they were barely noticeable. Ultimately, this book merits a 4 out of 5 stars.
