Book Review Of Sicilian Roulette by Anthony Di Angelo

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐-(5/5)

When Alvario Di Sano, the youngest son of Don Amedeo Di Sano, an influential member of a mafia group, witnesses the assassination of his father, his world comes to a halt. Not long after his father's bloodbath, the same killer takes on Alvario’s oldest brother. Soon, Alvario takes the curse for the deaths of his family members. His current situation forces him to flee America to Sicily. He has no choice but to forgo all that was dear to him, even his love, Fabrizia.

Next, we are introduced to Giuseppe, an old baker, who took Alvario in as a son, drilled him in the knowledge of baking, and became his light in the grim world. After all that has played out for Alvario, and like any other person faced with such cruelty, vengeance has become Alvario’s next resort after fleeing, but would he take that path? What stance does his love life en route? Anabelle or Fabrizia? Find out in Sicilian Roulette, a roller coaster ride by Anthony Di Angelo.

Anthony has blown me away with yet another banger of a book. This book is the second book I am reading, and again, he has perfected his characterization and plot. He has shaped his protagonist to fit brilliantly into his role. Right, there is a myriad of characters used. However, I feel that each character had a silk connection to the other, which assisted in reading and comprehension.

The tragedy that surrounded Alvario’s love life was mellifluous. It was sweet yet sad. His feeling of pain when he had to leave Fabrizia without proper goodbyes was intense. Or was it the excruciating anguish he must have felt watching his wife, Anabelle, die before his eyes? Anthony took me on a whole new swing of emotions. The transition of events was flawless. Anthony knew just the right timing to include a scene.

This book would be suited for an older audience because of the strong language, nudity, and violence. Anything short of five stars would be an insult to this gem.
