Ingredients
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup and 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 3g instant dried yeast
- 1 cup bread flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp milk powder
- 15g softened butter
Directions
1. Pre-heat oven to 165°C - 190°C
2. Mix warm milk, 1 tsp granulated sugar, and yeast together. Leave to sit for 5 minutes to activate the yeast
3. In a medium bowl, add bread flour, salt, 1/4 cup sugar, and milk powder. Mix well with a spatula
4. Pour in the yeast mixture and mix until no dried flour remains
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and leave to rest for 20 minutes
6. Fold in butter and knead with dough hook till soft and elastic
7. On a floured kneading top, fold the dough into ball shape
8. Place dough in an oiled bowl and cover. Leave till dough doubles in size
9. Press, knead and roll dough on a floured top
10. Grease and dust loaf pan and add dough. Cover with cloth and leave for 40 minutes
11. Place pan in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
12. Turn dough to the other side to promote an even bake. Total bake time is 20-25 minutes
13. Remove bread from pan and leave to cool
14. Serve
