Granola - The secret to a delicious parfait

Ingredients 

  1. 2 cups of white oats
  2. 1/2 cup raw almonds, sliced
  3. 1/2 cup raisins
  4. 1/2 cup walnuts
  5. 1/2 cup of any other dried fruit
  6. 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  7. 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 
  8. 1 tbsp honey 
  9. 1/2 tsp coconut oil
  10. 1/2 tsp butter
  11. 2 tbsp brown sugar
  12. A pinch of salt

Directions 

1. Heat up the coconut oil and add the oats. Coat the oats with the oil evenly, cooking on medium heat while stirring continuously till golden brown. Set aside

2. In the same pan but without the oats, add butter, brown sugar and honey. Leave to melt 

3. Once it starts to bubble, add the oats, nuts, dried fruits and raisins. Stir properly till the nuts are evenly coated with the butter -sugar mix.

4. Add the vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Keep stirring. 

Once the nuts taste toasted and crispy,  it's ready.

5. Turn off the heat, cool and store in air tight container.
